Oremund Ashire
Family:Father: Burton Ashire
Mother: Reena Ashire Background:With his mother dying during his birth Oremund, grew up with just his father; Burton Ashire, a traveling merchant. Burton was a swindler selling over-priced medicines and tonics to poor and gullible inhabitants of villages throughout Three Warden. Avoiding the major cities kept his father out of the reach of the law, but also limited their chances to make a good profit. Though Burton was a swindler in every sense of the word, Oremund knew his father loved him dearly. He always made sure what little they had was spent on keeping Oremund safe and sound even if it meant Burton went without.
At age 13 Oremund's father was taken prisoner by local authorities of a nearby city after failing to leave before the local villagers caught wind of his Burton's tricks. The two were separated as Oremund's father caused a distraction so that his son could flee to safety. Wanting to free his father Oremund, came up with a plan to help him escape, but was stopped by a local criminal before he got himself killed. The criminal named Pycon, promised to help Oremund free his father by giving him the skills he needed to break his father out of prison. Unknown to Oremund, the criminal he grew to trust was a slave trader. Instead of helping the young boy, Pycon sold Oremund to a wealthy noble in Gallendale as a pit fighter. As a pit fighter, Oremund was befriended by a well know fighter who looked after the young boy as best as he could. Oremund would fight in the blood pits until he turned eighteen. He was granted a chance to win his freedom by fighting his friend and mentor. They would fight, and his mentor sacrificed himself to provide Oremund the victory, thus giving Oremund his freedom. Oremund vowed to kill the noble that he served as a pit fighter, but first he would go back to Three Warden for his father. When he ventured back to Three Warden, his father was nowhere to be found. Oremund began to hunt the slave trader who originally sold him as a boy and ended up meeting Dalvin and Marco, who were also after the same man to collect a bounty. Dalvin welcomed Oremund into his group of sellswords. Even though, they failed to find the slave trader; Oremund stuck with the sellswords where he could put the skills he learned as a pit fighter to proper use. |
